The media used in the Seccua BioFilter only have a limited capacity. Therefore, AroxBags with media must be changed regularly.
CAUTION Replace the media at the prescribed intervals (see the capacity of the media in Specifications). Failure to comply can result in a health risk.
To change the AroxBags:
1. Close the shut-off valves (Ei and Eo).
Water will now be able to flow through the shortcut in the valves, directly from the feed water to the filtered water line. This water does not pass through the filter!
2. Optionally, close the shut-off valves (A and B) of the feed water and filtered water line.
3. Make sure that the flush water outlet (C) is connected to a sink or drain.
4. Open the flush valve (C). Let the water flow from the Seccua BioFilter until it is empty.
5. Press the red button (D) on the lid of the Seccua BioFilter to depressurize it and avoid a vacuum in the filter.
6. Leave the flush valve open to allow water to drain from the housing.
7. Remove the cartridge from the Seccua BioFilter housing as described in Remove the cartridge from the housing.
8. Remove the old AroxBags from the cartridge.
9. Insert the new AroxBags as described in Insert the AroxBags.
10. Flush the Seccua BioFilter as described in Flush the Seccua BioFilter before first use.
