Install the Seccua BioFilter as follows:
1. Grease the 90° angle connector with closed flush opening (A) and mount it on the inlet connection (right) of the Seccua BioFilter housing.
2. Grease the 90° angle connector with open flush opening (B) and mount it on the outlet connection (left) of the Seccua BioFilter housing.
3. Apply teflon tape on the 1/4'' reducer (C) and insert it into the open flush opening of the left connector B).
4. Push the flush valve (D) onto the reducer.
5. Grease, and attach the shut-off valves (E) on the 90° angle connectors (A and B).
6. Tighten all union nuts (4x) sufficiently by hand, since they seal with O-rings.
7. Shut all the valves (the two shut-off valves and the flush valve).
8. Add couplings for local piping to the shut-off valves:
For installation in the US:
Grease and attach the 90° angle couplings (G) on both the shut-off valves.
● If necessary, use the D15 straight extension (F) coupling between (E) and (G).
For installation in the EU:
● Attach the stainless steel couplings (H) that apply to your situation, on the shut-off valves for press fittings of 22 mm piping.
● Use the couplings with or without a threaded fitting pressed on, depending on your situation.
NOTICE Alternative connection configurations are possible depending on your local situation.
9. Connect the pipes for feed water and filtered water to the inlet (right) and outlet (left) side. (Note that the adjacent image shows the US configuration. For the EU the pipes are connected to the stainless steel connectors.)
